Q1. Can FlashTrack record with backing tracks?
Yes. FlashTrack provides two ways to add backing tracks:
AUX Input
-
Better stability and sound quality
-
Suitable for digital pianos or instruments with a preamp output
-
Ideal for low-latency recording situations
Bluetooth
-
Wireless and highly portable
-
Suitable for live streaming and mobile recording
Q2. How do I set up FlashTrack in recording software?
Select FT_USB as the audio input device in your recording or streaming app.
When FlashTrack shows a purple light, it means the software has successfully detected the audio input and transmission has started.
Q3. What should I do if the light turns red or there is no sound while recording?
Please check the following in order:
-
Make sure you are using the original cable and that it is plugged into the USB data port
-
If your phone or tablet does not provide enough power, connect an external 5V power supply to the 5V DC port
-
For Android devices showing alternating red and green lights:
After starting the recording, if the light turns purple, the device is functioning normally
Q4. What if noise or abnormalities occur when recording on iPhone or iPad?
This usually happens when iOS switches between the built-in microphone and an external mic, causing sampling rate mismatch. Recommended solutions:
-
Restart your iPhone or iPad
-
For Lightning devices, connect an external 5V power supply to prevent insufficient power
-
Use the official Apple OTG adapter or original cables
-
Ensure the input volume stays within the recommended range to avoid clipping or overload
Q5. How do I adjust FlashTrack’s volume and avoid distortion?
-
Keep the volume indicator between the 1st to 2nd bar (approx. –15 dB to –6 dB)
-
If the meter frequently hits the far right, the input is too strong — reduce the gain
-
Maintain a distance of 15–30 cm from the microphone
-
Adjust settings slightly based on different instruments and playing styles
Q6. How do I reset FlashTrack to factory settings?
-
Return to the main screen
-
Press and hold the LOGO button and the main knob together for about 5 seconds
-
When “BACK TO DEFAULT” appears, the reset is complete
Q7. What do FlashTrack’s indicator lights mean?
-
Green: USB connected, but the recording software has not started
-
Purple: Recording software is active and receiving audio
-
Blue: IR microphone simulation is enabled
-
Red: USB audio not detected — check that you are using the original cable and the correct port
-
Flashing lights: Microphone is muted
Recommended checks:
-
Ensure you are using the original USB cable and that it is connected to the USB data port (the 5V port cannot record)
-
After recording starts, the indicator should change from green to purple
-
If nothing happens, restart your phone/device and reconnect
Q8. Which microphone stands are compatible with FlashTrack?
FlashTrack uses a 1/4-inch thread, and is compatible with various stands:
-
1/4 inch: Desktop mini stands
-
3/8 inch: Desktop or boom-arm stands (requires adapter)
-
5/8 inch: Standard microphone stands (requires adapter)
Note: When using larger or heavier stands, ensure the thread is firmly tightened.
Q9. Which phones are compatible with FlashTrack?
iPhone (Lightning models, iPhone 7–14)
-
Requires Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter
-
IR mode requires an external 5V power supply connected to the adapter
-
If there's no sound during recording, third-party cables are often the cause
(Official Lightning adapter purchase link)
iPhone (USB-C models, iPhone 15 and newer)
-
Can connect directly via USB-C
-
If the device is not detected, replug the cable or restart the app

Android devices
-
Must support USB OTG
-
You can verify via settings, pop-up messages when plugging in, or compatible recording apps
-
Devices without OTG support cannot use FlashTrack
Additional notes
-
Most Android 10+ models and iPhone 7+ are compatible
-
For recording, we recommend using wired earphones for monitoring
Q10. Why does FlashTrack flash red and green on Android?
This is caused by USB power-saving behavior on certain Android devices and is not a product defect.
Once recording begins and the indicator turns purple, everything is functioning normally.
Cause:
-
The phone reduces or pauses USB power during standby or power-saving mode
-
Unstable USB power causes FlashTrack to switch repeatedly between red and green
Recommendations:
-
Disable power-saving mode before recording
-
Use an OTG adapter with power input or an external power source to improve stability
Q11. When should I use FlashTrack’s Loopback function?
Loopback captures all audio sources from the device, including:
-
Microphone input
-
Headphone playback
-
App sound effects
-
Browser or video audio
Ideal for:
-
Computer live streaming
-
Online teaching or remote demonstrations
-
Recording both microphone and backing tracks simultaneously
Note:
For mobile recording apps (e.g., GarageBand, karaoke apps), turn Loopback OFF to avoid duplicated sound.
Q12. Why doesn’t FlashTrack support Bluetooth headphone monitoring?
Bluetooth audio has approximately 100 ms of latency due to encoding, compression, transmission, and decoding.
This delay causes the monitored sound to lag behind the performance, making it impossible to play accurately.
Recommendations:
-
Use wired earphones for near-zero-latency monitoring
-
Bluetooth is suitable for backing track input, but not for monitoring
